9 Home Remedies For Bee Stings

When you find yourself with a bee sting, the worst thing to do is to panic. In most cases, bee stings are harmless and can be treated at home with the help of friends or family members.

Here are 9 home remedies for bee stings that you can try:

1) Place ice on the area affected by the bee sting for 15 minutes every 2 hours. Keep in mind not to put ice directly on the skin because this may cause frostbite.

2) You can boil a pot of water and use this water to clean the sting site.

3) Apply olive oil to the affected area.

4) Cover the swollen area with a eucalyptus oil bandage for up to eight hours.

5) Apply an ice pack to reduce swelling and pain. Do not leave this on for more than 15 minutes at a time or you may cause frostbite.

6) You can hold a bee sting between two fingers; however, this process is not recommended for stings on the lips.

7) Rub a paste of baking soda and water to soothe the affected area.

8) Cool the area with a cold compress or ice pack. A cool compress or ice pack should only be used for 15 minutes at a time and should be applied every 2 hours for one day.

9) Apply baking soda or lavender oil to the bee sting.
