1. Apple Cider Vinegar.

It might be surprising, but when the stomach acids are burning your esophagus, ingesting more acid can actually calm it down. 

It regulates the acid production in the stomach and brings about balance.

Dissolve two or three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of honey in one cup of lukewarm water. 

Mix well in and then drink it down.

You can consume this mixture whenever you get hit by acid reflux. 

If the remedy does not instantly alleviate your condition, drink another cup of this mixture after a span of 2 hours.

2. Banana.

Banana is an excellent natural remedy for acid reflux as it can heal your stomach from the burning sensation in time. 

Regular consumption of bananas or papaya helps in providing quick relief from burning stomach pain. 

It is because bananas are luxuriant in antacids that counteracts burning sensations in your belly.

Eat a banana or sliced banana pieces whenever you feel indigestion coming on.

You can use this remedy for quick relief and also as a preventive measure to avoid discomfort due to the burning sensation in the stomach.

3. Lemon Juice.

Lemon juice has been found to have a moderate neutralizing effect on gastric acids. 

Therefore, it may be of some help in reducing the burning sensation caused by acid reflux.

If you are prone to developing heartburn, use this remedy 10-15 minutes before you have your meals as a preventive measure for acid reflux.

Add one tablespoon of organic lemon juice to a glass of hot water. 

Stir well and make sure to drink on an empty stomach.

You can drink this mixture in the morning before eating anything. 

It helps to soothe the acid reflux in your stomach from the night before.

4. Milk. 

Cold milk can neutralize the gastric acids in the stomach. 

Therefore, it can restore the natural acid balance in the stomach, reduce acid reflux, and relieve the burning sensation caused by it.

Drink a glass of cold milk after eating to mollify acid reflux in your gut and prevent acidity from building up.

5. Yogurt.

Yogurt contains probiotics. Probiotics have been found to be effective in the treatment of reflux esophagitis and the burning and pain associated with it.

1 cup plain yogurt preferably chilled.

Have a cup when you experience a burning sensation in your stomach and chest.

6. Green Tea.

This works well because green tea contains contents that stabilize acids in the stomach. 

And its inflammatory property helps to soothe the burning sensations caused by acid reflux.

Green tea, Honey and a cup of water.

Dunk the green tea bag in a cup of hot water for 2 to 3 minutes. 

Add honey to it if you want to.  After 3 minutes, remove the tea bag and drink tea.

You can drink this green tea twice a day to keep burning sensations in your stomach away!

7. Baking Soda.

You can mix one-fourth teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of regular water to curb the effect of acid in the stomach. 

It provides instant relief in stomach aches and indigestion.

But do not consume baking soda water before 2 hours of other medications you have taken, if any. 

Baking soda neutralizes the acid effect and tends to slow down the rate at which your body absorbs other medicines.

Also, do not give it to your child unless his doctor prescribes to do so.

Please Note Avoid using this remedy for more than a week at a go as it is high in salt and can lead to swelling or nausea.
